Revamped Cake Diary Miniature Dollhouse

In January this year, I made a miniature dollhouse for my sister's birthday.  Her birthday has always been overlooked because my one and only nephew's birthday is a few days later.  This year, I had a strong impression from God not to skip over her birthday.

As I was looking for her birthday gifts, I saw a Cake Diary Miniature Dollhouse from Amazon.com and thought it was perfect for her since she loves cooking and baking.  I have never put together one, but thought it might be interesting to do one.

I have customized the miniature to make it very special and personal for my sister by changing the wall paper to her favorite color - mint green - and repainting all the wood pieces to various shades of pearl white and gold, which I pick up from Hobby Lobby.  I also put up curtains, changed the chair covers and table cloth, which I picked up from Hobby Lobby as well.  I also pick up a yellow rose bush in a pot from Hobby Lobby's miniature section.  The saucers for the teacups are the stickers from JOANN Fabric and Craft Stores.  The custom made wrapping papers and heart candies, and new ribbons are all special touches I have put together for her.

It was time consuming and some of the pieces were so hard to put together due to the minuscule sizes, but I was happy with the outcome.  And the best part?  My sister loved it!
